Charles H. "Chuck" Ozmun

Charles “Chuck” Ozmun, age 80, of Faribault, MN, passed away August 8, 2023, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, surrounded by his family following a brief illness.

Charles Henry was born on January 24, 1943, in Warsaw, MN, to Henry and Olive (Hendrickson) Ozmun.  He was married to Kathleen Thompson on November 2, 1963, they raised two daughters and were later divorced.  Charles worked as a mechanic and meter reader for Xcel Energy for 29 years.  He was a member of the Faribault Eagles Club, and Faribault Moose Lodge.  Charles, AKA Chuckie, was a very outgoing and energetic person.  He was always there to help family, friends, and neighbors, and loved his dog and best friend, Riley.  He had a special talent and could fix anything.  Chuckie was always ready to turn a wrench, have a beer, or share one of his famous jokes, sometimes more than once!  The world lost an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, neighbor, and friend.  He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his daughters, Ronda Springer, and Stacey Trahan (Scott), both of Faribault; four grandchildren, Adam Springer, Alex Springer, Andrew Trahan, and Dillon Trahan (Mandi); five great grandchildren, Ryan and Chloe Trahan, and Eleanor, Everett, and Memphis Trahan; siblings, Roger Ozmun of Le Sueur, MN, Jean Hagenbrock of Black River Falls, WI and Charlotte Teske of Faribault; former son-in-law, Ray Springer; brother-in-law, Stan Babcock of Faribault; sisters-in-law, Linda Ozmun and Teresa Ozmun, both of Faribault; good friend, Jim Hein; and by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Olive; and siblings, Marlys Ozmun, Arlene Bronstad, Duane Ozmun, Irene Ozmun, Marcelle Babcock, Robert Ozmun, and Maxine Voegele.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church, 204 2^nd St. NW, Faribault, with Rev. Mark Johnson, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
