Charles Chapman

December 10, 1942 — September 27, 2013

Charles (Chuck) Chapman, age 70, of Faribault, MN and formerly of St. Paul, MN, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Ivy Hills Senior Care Home in Faribault, MN, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault, with Rev. Michael Mandsager, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles Herman Chapman was born on December 10, 1942 in Faribault to Gordon and Thelma (Braaten) Chapman. He attended Faribault Schools and St. Paul Harding High School. Chuck had worked in construction since 1961. He joined the Union, Local 132 and worked for a variety of companies in the St. Paul area, and for many years with Kamish Construction. Chuck loved Harleys, cars, fishing, hunting, and metal detecting. He enjoyed playing dice with his family and had a great love for his dogs.

He is survived by his daughters, Carla Chapman and Samantha Chapman, both of Faribault; their mother and Chuck's former wife, Vicky Chapman of Stillwater; three grandchildren, Courtney, Alida, and Kayanna; siblings, Walter (Mary Jo) Chapman of Faribault, LaDonna Boudreau of Faribault, Susan (Bob) Jones of Faribault, Debra (Nevin) Winkle of Andover and Kay Luchsinger of Little Canada, MN; special friends, Gerald Kern, and Dennis and Kathy Piper and family; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald and Thomas Chapman; brother-in-law, Darrell Boudreau; nephew, Nathan Winkle; and by his step-father, Mike Mash.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
