Caroline Offerle

Caroline "Kay" Offerle, age 68, of Faribault, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the District One Hospital in Faribault.   Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the Medo Lutheran Cemetery, Medo Township, Blue Earth County, MN.   Visitation will be held on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church.   Memorials may be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church in memory of Kay.   Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.   Caroline Mildred Offerle, the daughter of Martin A. and Mildred (Goodell) Offerle, was born on September 24, 1941 in Mankato, MN. Kay worked as a Sr. Human Services Technician for over 30 years at the Faribault Regional Center. She enjoyed music, fishing, gardening, painting, and long walks. Kay liked to socialize with her neighbors, friends at Cedar House, and mentors, Penny Zwecker, Linda Sterling, and Bernadette Tatge. Sr. Anita Smisek was also a friend and mentor for many years, including their many hours with the Immaculate Conception Church Choir. Kay loved her "fluffy" cats, and staying connected through mail and the telephone, her lifeline.   She is survived by five first cousins, Phyllis Severson, John (and Margaret) Severson, Carol (and Gary) Voight, Alice Bowen, and Eleanor King; and by her many friends and neighbors.   She was preceded in death by her parents.
