Carole J. Plumb, age 82, of Faribault, MN, and formerly of Maplewood, MN, and Knife Lake, MN, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at New Perspectives in Faribault.
Carole Jean was born on December 16, 1938, in St. Paul, MN, to Marlow and Marjorie (Decker) Peterson. She was raised in St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School. Carole was united in marriage to Joseph A. Plumb Jr. on May 2, 1964. She worked at 3M as an administrative assistant and then was a homemaker for her family. Being a mom, wife, and grandma were some of her most proud moments. She and Joe loved their life at their cabin near Lake Mille Lacs, enjoying boating and walks together. They always enjoyed the companionship of their yellow lab, Copper. Carole enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, exercising, and decorating for the holidays. She loved her time with family, especially her granddaughter, Kaylynn.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Plumb III (Shari) of Lonsdale, MN; granddaughter, Kaylynn Jean Plumb; siblings, Dennis Peterson of Little Canada, MN, and Marlene Sommerdorf (Ken Malm) of St. Paul; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe on October 2, 2021; parents, Marlow and Marjorie; and brother, Donald Peterson.
Private family services will be held.
Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
