Carol J. Caron, age 48, of Faribault, MN, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Three Links Reflection Care Suite in Northfield, MN, following a struggle over the last few years with addiction.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Faribault, with Rev. Jeff Sandgren, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Carol Jean, the daughter of Carl and Jeannine (Paape) Iverson, was born on April 11, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Alexandria High School with the class of 1988, and the University of Minnesota in 1993, receiving a degree in civil engineering. Carol worked during school with Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, and for five years after graduation. For 20 years she worked with Bolton & Menk as City Engineer for the city of Jordan, MN. Carol was married to Troy Caron for 24 years. Growing up she was active in many areas including sports and music. She enjoyed living on the lake, boating, fishing and hunting. Carol loved animals, especially her dogs and cats, spending time outdoors and gardening. She was active in volunteering at her daughter’s school and the challenge of a home remodel project.
She is survived by Troy; her daughters, Bryn Caron and Carlie Caron; mother, Jeannine Iverson; brother, Michael (Lisa) Iverson; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl in 1998.
Memorials may be directed to Ruth’s House in Faribault or the donor’s choice in memory of Carol.
