Carol Bronstad

Carol (Hruska) Bronstad, age 46, of Faribault, MN, passed away January 26, 2016, at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault, following a courageous six-year battle with a brain tumor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Ridge Lutheran Church, 1401 Bethel Ct, Faribault, with Rev. Dan Laziki, officiating. Interment will be at the Resurrection Cemetery in Medford, MN.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to an Educational Fund for her daughter, Katelyn.

Carol Ann was born on January 2, 1970 in Northfield, MN. She graduated from Morristown High School with the class of 1990. Following high school, she lived in Faribault for many years until most recently in Waseca. Carol worked at Jerome Foods and Subway in Faribault, then at Job's Plus in Waseca. She enjoyed riding her bike and walking around town, listening to the radio, and fishing. Carol loved people and was always very helpful to others with a huge smile on her face.

She is survived by her daughter, Katelyn Bronstad of Waseca; her mother, Linda (Enfield) Hruska of Waseca; sisters, Cindi (Martin) Eberling of Waseca, Julie Hruska of Chaska, Karen Hruska of Waseca, and Kathy Hruska of Owatonna; grandparents, Marie Enfield of Northfield, and Bernard and Dorothy Hruska of Owatonna; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Hruska; grandfather, Elmer Enfield; and nephew, Edgar Jr.
