Carl W. Holz, age 58, of Faribault, MN, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at home with his wife by his side after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.

Carl was born April 15, 1961, in Northfield, MN, the son of Elmer and Arlene (Hemmelman) Holz. He was united in marriage to Rose Hoisington on August 27, 1983. Together they were married for 36 years and shared many incredible memories and loving moments. Carl’s love and passion was shown through his work as a mechanic. He spent 17 years with ABC Bus Inc. in Faribault. Followed by the last 7 years working for Northfield Lines Inc. as a mechanic with the passion for teaching others.
Carl was known for his willingness to help others. He spent his years helping family, friends and even strangers whenever he was called. He loved the sound of a chainsaw as him and friends cut and split wood every fall. He spent every day in his garage where he fixed, broke and fixed again anything he could. Carl could make something out of any “junk” he found. He knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face with a quick one-liner or remark. Carl and Rose found themselves spending 20 years with friends that became family at Shades of Sherwood Campground in Zumbrota. He cherished the people he met, the memories he made, and the bonds no one will ever forget. He loved most the moments with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife Rose Holz (Hoisington) of 36 years, his children, Melissa Holz (John Carlson) of Hastings, David Holz (Amber Tesch) of Faribault, Ben Holz (Angela Taylor) of Faribault and Elizabeth Holz (Derek Klotter) of Farmington. His love continues through his 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gracelyn, Aubree, Colson, Jack and Cody. His siblings: Diane (Loren) Bangert of Nerstrand, June (Dennis) Wilson of West Concord, Ellen (Jim) Klennert of Lake City, Elmer Jr. (Lisa) Holz of Glenville and Joyce (Bob) Klennert of Zumbro Falls. As well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.
He will be welcomed in heaven by his parents Elmer and Arlene Holz, grandchild Skylar Ray, mother-in-law Frances Hoisington and father-in-law Robert Hoisington, sister-in-law Irene Holz, nephew Matthew Caron and niece Lisa Klennert
A special thank you to Moments Hospice. Especially, Angela, Jennifer and Mariah for your love, kindness and support.
We encourage friends and family to wear flannel in honor of Carl.
