Calvin H. Peters

Calvin H. Peters, age 79, of Warsaw, MN, passed away July 8, 2023.

Calvin Herbert was born on January 2, 1944, in Faribault, MN, to William and Eva (Starr) Peters.  He graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1962.  Calvin served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967.  He worked for many years with K&G Manufacturing before being a self-employed carpenter owning F&P Construction.  Calvin was married to Linda Farnsworth, they had four children.  He later married Dixie (Rose) Krenske on August 1, 2003.  Calvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and cribbage.  He cherished the moments with his family and time spent up north.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie Peters; children: Joseph (Sally) Peters, Trish (Garrett) Froehle, Angela (Dallas) Francis, and Chad (Annette) Peters; sisters: Darlene (John) Mumm, and Loretta (Dave) Cordes; grandchildren: Emily (Roger) Dugan, Sarah Peters, Brandon Peters, Allison (Alex) Wolff, Tyler Francis, Collin Francis, Nolan Warwick, Hailey Peters, and Jacob Peters;   10 great grandchildren; Dixie's children: Todd Baldwin, and Mindy Baldwin; grandchildren, Andrew Baldwin, Nicolas Baldwin, Jordan Baldwin, Karlee Baldwin, Ashley (Brandon) Bright, Curtis and Holly Chavie; and 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 19 siblings; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 213 6^th Ave. SW, Faribault, with Rev. Rex Longshore, officiating. Interment will be at Warsaw Cemetery with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association,

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
