Bruce Gordon Peterson

Bruce G. Peterson, age 74, of Faribault, MN, passed away October 18, 2023, at Central Health Care in Le Center, MN.

Bruce Gordon, the son of Jack and Verna (Bartels) Peterson, was born on March 31, 1949, in Faribault, MN. Bruce was good with his hands and worked as a carpenter most of his life. He applied his attention to detail to the activities he loved: golf, pool, and darts. Bruce was a great dancer and had a surprisingly good singing voice. He read a lot and got a lot of joy from his beloved dogs and cats. He was a really great dad to Kemi and Alex, who were raised with his blend of sensitivity and hard-assedness. We will forever love the fact that, when it came down to it, Dad was quick to cry about beautiful things.

Bruce is survived by children, Dr. Kemi Adeyemi and Alex Peterson (Kristen Tizzano); their mother, Ann Miller Dates; sister, Cheryl (Allen) Burris; brother-in-law, Darrell DeMars; nieces, a nephew, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nadine DeMars; and brother, Charles Peterson.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. with a Time of Sharing starting at 12:00 P.M. at Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, Faribault. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
