Brian Kolterman

Brian A. Kolterman, age 53 of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at his home following an extended illness.

Brian Andrew, the son of Kathleen Kolterman was born on June 2, 1969 in Minneapolis, MN and later attended Faribault Senior High School.  Brian worked as a heavy equipment operator for various construction companies in the area.  Most recently he was working for Holtmeier Construction Company in Mankato, MN and he loved his work.  Brian loved watching his kids compete in their different sporting activities.  He also enjoyed going for drives through the River Bend Nature Center, playing lottery scratch offs, fishing, billiards, grilling, golfing and watching all Minnesota sports teams, especially the Wild.

He is survived by his children, Mason Kolterman (Halli), Maiya Kolterman and Matthew Austin (Odalys), all of Faribault; by two grandchildren, Thiago Austin and Auroara Austin; by his mother, Kathleen Kolterman of Faribault; by his sister, Roberta (Curtis) Schley of Faribault; by his mother-in-law, Anne Johnson and by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mara Kolterman, by his grandmother, Margaret Barron and by his father-in-law, Doug Johnson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault with Fr. Henry Doyle officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Faribault Moose Lodge.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Brian.
