Brandon John was born on February 9, 1986 in Faribault to John and Debra (Stenbakken) Thibodeau. He was raised in the Faribault area and attended Faribault High School. At an early age, Brandon helped his father on the farm and learned welding. He then used that skill in his work at PolyTech Co. before working as a machinist at Truth in Owatonna. Brandon then worked construction with Nerstrand Excavating. He enjoyed driving truck for his most recent employer WW Trucking of Castle Rock, MN.
At age 21 Brandon received a heart transplant. For a few years his health improved, but in 2010 he experienced complications from his transplant and again was on the list to receive another heart. His health issues helped him gain a greater appreciation for life and wanted everyone else to enjoy life also. Brandon's biggest blessings were his children. He truly cherished his children and was a caring and loving father. He also loved his nieces and nephew and created lasting memories with them. Brandon loved to fish, also enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, and four wheeling among many other outdoor activities. He was married to Michelle Roberson on February 22, 2014.
Brandon is survived by his daughters, Aniyah, Raelee, and Jayda; his wife, Michelle Thibodeau of Montgomery; his mother, Debra Thibodeau of Faribault; his father, John Thibodeau of Owatonna; his sister, Tiffany Malecha of Lonsdale; nieces and nephew, Lilly, Landon, and Zoe; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and other relatives and friends.
