Bradley S. "Brad" Beckman

Bradley S. “Brad” Beckman, age 72 of Faribault, MN passed away peacefully at his home following an extended illness with AML Leukemia.

Bradley Scott, the son of Gene and Carla (Miller) Beckman was born on September 11, 1951 in Sheldon, IA.  He attended Sanborn High School and graduated with the class of 1969.  Brad was married to Glenda Strenge and together had a son Trafton Beckman.  They later divorced.  On February 17, 1979 Brad was united in marriage to Rhonda Schott in Sheldon, IA.  Brad worked at Genex/CRI in different capacities and retired as a manager after 38 years of employment.  In retirement he enjoyed working at Ahlman’s Gun Shop and Trump’s Orchard.  Brad enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and friends.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns, trapping, planting a garden big enough to feed the neighborhood and most of all riding his Harley.  Together, Brad and Rhonda enjoyed many rides to various cities.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Beckman of Faribault, MN; by his sons, Trafton (Angie) Beckman of Sheldon, IA and their children, Addison and Hayden, and Seth (Chelsea) Beckman of St. Peter, MN and their children, Jason and Camron; by his step-son, Kelly (Brandi) Connors of McCook Lake, SD and their children, Kyle and Jaden Groves; by his sisters, Shelli (Jerry) Niichel of Sanborn, IA and Suzi (Bob) Epping of Spirit Lake, IA; by his father-in-law, Joe Schott of Sheldon, IA; by his sisters-in-law, Rita (Tom) Dwelle of Lake City, MN, Roberta (Bill) Meyer of Okoboji, IA, Renae (Dell) Grooters of Rock Rapids, IA and Ramona (Jeff) Palmer of Sioux Falls, SD; by his brother-in-law, Randy (Kim) Schott of Sibley, IA and by many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Beci Jacobsma and his grandparents.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  A lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m.
