Blanche Schultz

Blanche C. Schultz, age 104 of Faribault, MN passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Brookdale Senior Living Community.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault with Fr. Brandon Theisen officiating.  Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School, Divine Mercy Catholic Church or St. Croix Hospice in memory of Blanche.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Blanche Cecelia Hallet, the daughter of Ferdinand and Pauline (Zabel) Hallet, was born on July 3, 1915 in Faribault.  She attended Faribault High School.  On November 4, 1936 she was united in marriage to Martin Schultz.  Martin preceded her in death on October 26, 1999.  After their marriage Blanche farmed with Martin along with raising their daughters.  Later they would move into Faribault.  Blanche loved spending time with all of family and especially time with her grandchildren.  She was an excellent cook and was known for her angel food cake and her cookies.  She enjoyed playing cards, flowers, gardening, watching birds, fishing and bowled in several leagues and once rolled a 300.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Schultz (Roger) Sammon of Red Wing, MN and Joan Schultz (Dave) Nasby of Faribault; by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren; by her brother, Norman Hallet of Montgomery and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Bruce Nasby and 10 brothers and sisters.
