Bernarr Kline

Bernarr G. Kline, age 77, of Faribault, MN, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his home following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Shieldsville. Interment will be at the Trebon Cemetery in Shieldsville Township, Rice County, MN, with military honors.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Bernarr George was born on April 21, 1939, in Kilkenny, MN to Frank and Rosella Kline. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Army from 1959 - 1962. Bernarr was united in marriage to Georgia Kubinski on December 7, 1962 in Faribault. For 32 years, Bernarr worked in Human Services at the Faribault Regional Center, retiring July 13, 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and using his lawn and garden care skills to "outdo" the neighbors! Most importantly, Bernarr treasured his time spent with family, often listening to or playing country music.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Kline of Faribault; son, Daryl (Jackie) Kline of Faribault; grandson, Benjamin Kline; brothers, Bruce (Jackie) Kline and Bert (Sandy) Kline, both of Faribault; sisters, Bernadette Mathies of Eagle Lake, MN, Bernadine Yokiel of Mankato, MN, and Bernita (Milo) Koktavy of Northfield, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosella; three brothers, Bernhardt, Benjamin, and Bernard (Donna) Kline; sister, Bernice Baker; and brother-in-law, LuVerne Mathies.
