Benjamin J. Smith, age 29 of Jacksonville, NC and formerly of Faribault, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Sacred Heart in Faribault, with the Rev. Michael Kaluza officiating.             Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 2 to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to services.             Benjamin James Smith, the son of James and Pamela (Naughton) Smith, was born on May 21, 1979 in Faribault. He attended Faribault Senior High School. On June 28, 1998 he was united in marriage to Beth Larson in Faribault. They were later separated. Ben worked as a Plumbing Supervisor for Humphrey Mechanical in Jacksonville, NC. Ben's daughters were very important to him and he loved them very much. He enjoyed four wheeling, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and playing pool.             He is survived by his two daughters, Kristi Mary Smith and Kali Ann Smith, both of Jacksonville, NC; by his mother, Pamela Smith and special friend Steve Janovsky of Faribault; by his father, Jim Smith and special friend Janet Smith of Morristown; by two brothers, Jason Smith and special friend Emily Schuenke of Medford and Hunter Janovsky of Faribault; by his sister, Brandy (TJ) Bauer of Faribault; by his grandparents, William and Shirley Naughton and Jim and Marie Smith, both of Faribault and aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.             He was preceded in death by his aunt, Patricia Naughton and his uncle, Steven Malecha.
