Barbara Gleason Taylor, age 85, of Faribault, MN passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault.
Barbara was born on September 29, 1935 in Waseca, MN to John and Helen (Schaumkessel) Gleason. She graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1953 and was married to Dr. William G. Wilkowske on September 8, 1956. They lived and raised three children in the Faribault / Owatonna area. She later divorced was remarried to William Taylor. Barbara was Assistant Director and chemical dependency counselor at West Hills Lodge Treatment Center in Owatonna. Over the years she has resided in Faribault, Owatonna, and Wabasha. Barbara enjoyed biking, camping, her dog Sami, and being around people. She truly was a social person.
She is survived by her children, Krista Wilkowske, Eric Wilkowske (Tien Nguyen) and their children, Thomas and Sara Wilkowske, and Kurt Wilkowske ((Maureen Shea) and their son, Nick Wilkowske; her sister, Judy Look; her dog, Sami; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen; first husband, Dr. William G. Wilkowske; and second husband, William Taylor.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s research organization of the donor’s choice or Brighton Hospice in memory of Barbara.
