Arnold A. Waller, age 93, of Mankato passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Laurel's Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato with Pastor Brad Jackson officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis at a later date.
Memorial visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday.
Arnold Anton, son of Anton and Amelia (Nordquist) Waller, was born on May 28, 1923 in Manhattan, New York. Following his schooling, he was drafted into the United States Air Force, where he served for 23 years during both World War II and the Korean War. On November 15, 1958, he was united in marriage to Patsy Carter in Riverside, California. After moving to Mankato, he and Patsy ran a daycare together for many years. He also worked several years at Carlson Craft and Kato Engineering. Arnold enjoyed reading and he loved to make people laugh. His family and his faith were the most important things to him.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Patsy Waller; children, Lani Wolf, Ruth Hillesheim, John Waller, and Amelia McCarty; grandchildren, Michael Yacksyzn, David Yacksyzn, Michael Waller, Joshua Thrasher, Kiana McCarty, Madalyn McCarty, Megan Hillesheim, Amber Biddle, and Justin Biddle; great grandchildren, John, Trevor, Matthew, Madilyn, and Mylo Yacksyzn; and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wynn Waller; grandsons, Paul Yacksyzn and Gavin McCarty; and sister, Martha Agee.
