Antoinette "Toni" Jacobson

Antoinette “Toni” Jacobson, age 77, of Faribault, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN, following an extended illness.

Antoinette Colonna was born on December 20, 1941 in St. Paul, MN to Louis and Joyce (Reynolds) Colonna.  She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School.  Toni was married to John Jacobson in 1965.  For most of her career, Toni worked for the State of Minnesota, retiring from the Faribault Correctional Facility in 2005.  Following retirement she worked seasonally at Farmer Seed and Nursery for six years.  Toni loved reading, gardening, and shopping, especially for shoes.  She was always active, going on long walks or exercising at the Senior Center.  Toni cherished her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, John (Kari) Jacobson, Jennifer (Greg) Starkson, Jamie Jacobson, and Jason Jacobson; bonus children, Patrick (LeAnn) Jacobson and Jody Storebo; grandchildren, Nancy (Jaymeson) Rolff, Jason (Amber) Starkson, Nichole Storebo, Clayton Jacobson, Katie (Andy) Yaggie, Matthew Jacobson, Kelsey Johnson, Quinton Jacobson, Connor Jacobson, Rylie Starkson, Cassidy Jacobson, Cody Dunn and Dillon Dunn; great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Sierra and Shiloh Rolff, and Blayne Johnson; brother, Joe Colonna; sister, Katherine (Bud) Porter; and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John on July 8, 2010; parents, Louis and Joyce; and brothers, Mike and Geno Colonna.

Private family interment will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Faribault Area Senior Center in memory of Toni.

Arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
