Andrew J. Bongers, age 28, of Faribault, died suddenly on August 18, 2008 at his home.    Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Sacred Heart in Faribault with the Rev. Kevin Finnegan, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.    Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services.    In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.    Andrew Joseph Bongers, the son of Roger & Julie (Garrett) Bongers was born on April 10, 1980 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault Senior High School with the class of 1998, and continued his education at St. Paul Community and Technical College earning a degree in sheet metal fabrication. He served his apprenticeship for four years with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 10, and was a Sheet Metal Journeyman for Himec Mechanical in Northfield. Andrew enjoyed working on cars, hunting, kayaking and loved to eat meat. He was a member of the Sheet Metal workers Local 10.    He is survived by his father Roger (Jayne) Bongers and his mother Julie Bongers, both of Faribault; by his sister Ali Bongers (special friend Brian Bossmann), of Faribault; by stepsisters Maureen & Kelly Meehan of Plymouth; by his paternal grandmother Jeannine Bongers of Faribault and maternal grandparents Clyde & Marcella Garrett of Faribault; by the love of his life Emily Drevlow of Faribault; and by aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.    He is preceded in death by his grandfather Jack Bongers.
