Alice Ries

Alice E. Ries, age 42 of Owatonna, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at her home.

Alice Elizabeth, the daughter of Wesley and Alice (Cerreta) Ries was born on February 28, 1980 in Newport, RI.  She attended Montgomery High School and graduated with the class of 1998.  Alice lived most of her life in Faribault and had recently moved to Owatonna.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for different health care facilities in the area.  Alice enjoyed working on crafts, hanging out with her friends and going on road trips.

She is survived by her children, Jordyn Ries and fiancé Daniel Lively of Owatonna, MN; Alice (Justin) Luhman of Faribault, MN and Alex Ries of Owatonna, MN; by two grandchildren, Jonathan Ries and Jideo Ries; by her mother, Alice E. Cerreta of Iowa; by her siblings, Rick (Patricia) Ries, Donelda (William) Noyes and Wesley Ries Jr., all of Iowa; by her close friend, Emma Leese of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Ries.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.  A time of sharing will be held at 6:00 p.m.
