Alice Randall-Mitchell

Alice (Manthei) Randall-Mitchell, age 85 of Waseca, died on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Owatonna Commons.               Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 1st, at 1:30 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca with Fr. Peter Klein officiating. Interment will be in the Decoria Cemetery, Blue Earth County.                                                  Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to services from 11:00 to 1:30 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca. Alice Mary Jane was born July 10, 1924 to Frederick and Lila (Busse) Manthei in Mapleton. She attended Country School thru the 8th grade, and received her GED in 1972. Alice married Waldo Randall December 31, 1945. They farmed near Beauford until Waldo's death in 1959. She moved to Mapleton where she worked for her Aunt Lillie (Busse) Leiferman at The Spot Cafe. Alice then moved to New Richland, and eventually Waseca where she worked for E.F. Johnson Company, and provided home health care until her retirement. Alice married Robert Mitchell in 1993. Alice enjoyed reading, decorating, and fashion. She had a special, loving relationship with her dog, Kela. Alice is survived by her 4 children, James (Becky), Sally, Donald (Debbie), Cindy and her special friend Lester; one brother, Donald (Vi), one sister, Judy, 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Waldo and Robert, her parents, and one sister, Emmy.
