Alice Morgan Daley, age 90, of St. Peter, MN and formerly of Lewiston and St. Charles, MN, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, MN. Interment will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the donor's choice. Alice Magdalen Morgan, the daughter of Joseph Leo and Elizabeth (Wesley) Morgan, was born on December 27, 1920 at her family home in Iosco Township, Waseca County, MN. They later moved to the Faribault area and Alice attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1938. After high school she attended the Hairdressing Academy of Minnesota and graduated in 1939. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Harold (Bud) Yackel in Chicago, IL. After their marriage they moved to the Lewiston area where together they owned and operated Yackel Implement for many years until their retirement in 1973. During this time Alice taught CCD for many years at her church. Bud preceded her in death in 1986. On August 5, 1989, Alice married George P. Daley in Winona, MN. Mr. Daley preceded her in death in 1993. Alice enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed her trips to Ireland. She was excellent at cross stitching and made handmade dolls and costumes. She loved animals, especially her dog Muffy and her cat Blackie. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Murphy of Kilkenny, MN; by nieces and nephews, Mary Lou (Jim) Ihrke of Madison, Lake, MN, Tom (Joyce) Murphy of Kilkenny,MN, Becky (Tony) Nicholas of Redwood Falls, MN, Richard (Jennifer) Murphy of Kilkenny, MN and Colleen (Jeff) Johnson of Excelsior, MN and by several grand nieces and nephews; by three stepsons, Patrick (Donna) Daley, Michael (Sandy) Daley and Stephen (Peg) Daley, all of Lewiston, MN and all of their families and by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her sister, Mary Agnes and stepsons, Daniel and Dennis Daley and Robert Yackel.
