Albert Liverseed

Albert P. Liverseed age 89 of Owatonna, MN passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna with Fr. John Sauer officiating. Fellowship will follow the funeral at the Sacred Heart dining hall. Interment will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Medford, MN with military honors provided by the Steele County Military Honor Guard.

Friends may greet the family at church on Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. There will be a rosary recited by the Knights of Columbus at 10:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, MN.

Albert was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI to Robert and Antoinette (Gillis) Liverseed. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, MN with the class of 1947. He served 2 years in the Army during the Korean War. On July 25, 1953 he was united in marriage to Darlene Spinler at Christ the King Catholic Church in Medford, MN. He worked as a Union Mason, Bricklayer, earning the Golden Trowel for 50 years of service. Some of his proudest work was on the Mayo Clinic and Assisi Heights buildings in Rochester, MN. He and Darlene raised their large family in Medford. They lived the past 20 years in Owatonna. Albert loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much and was always so proud of them. He is fondly remembered for being a prayer warrior and his devotion to the Holy Rosary. He very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In earlier years he enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, casinos, and traveling. Albert was a lifetime member of the Medford Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed working outdoors. He believed in giving back to the land and planted hundreds of trees during retirement on his rural farm.

Albert is survived by children Robert (June) Liverseed, Deborah Rouse, Denise (Bruce) Born, Diane (Brian) Schaffer, Renee (Doug) Staehnke, John (Dawn) Liverseed and Phil (Jamie) Liverseed; by daughter-in-law, Ramona Liverseed; by 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; by his sister, Ruth Lodginski and many nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Darlene, sons Gregory and Michael, his parents, sister Marion O'Neil, brothers, Robert and John Liverseed, granddaughter Wendy Liverseed and great-granddaughter Ava Liverseed.
