Adam M. Donahue, age 30, of Burnsville, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home following a courageous battle with brain cancer. Throughout this battle, his faith and trust in God never wavered.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. If you are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed through a link on Adam’s obituary page.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N, Faribault and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
The family encourages all visitors to follow CDC guidelines and practice social distancing when present at the visitation and funeral.
Memorials may be directed to the University of Minnesota Foundation, indicate “In memory of Adam Donahue and Brain Cancer Research Fund”.
Adam Michael was born on January 2, 1990 in Faribault to Mark and Robin (Anderson) Donahue. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 2008 and University of St. Thomas in 2012 with a degree in Accounting. Adam worked as a CPA with Clifton Larson Allen for seven years, most recently as a manager. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Adam was married to Angelica Almanza on July 11, 2015 at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. He was always passionate about playing golf and for two consecutive years was club champion at the Legacy in Faribault. Adam also enjoyed playing his bass guitars and spending time with his family and friends. He especially cherished the time with his six nieces and nephews, who all loved their moments with Uncle Adam.
He is survived by his wife, Angelica Donahue; his parents, Mark and Robin Donahue; his sister, Sarah (Luke) Speckhals and their children, Maya and Payton, his brother, Nick Donahue and children, Ainsleigh and Kian; his grandmother, Lois Donahue Cleary; his grandparents, Brian and Donna Anderson and Kenneth and Sharon Tjaden; his parents-in-law, Felipe and Sara Almanza; his sister-in-law, Alessandra (Tyler) Putrah and their children, Sofia and Luca; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Donahue; his grandparents-in-law, Maria and Felipe Almanza; and his cousins, Kilian Donahue, Brice Anderson, and Madison Anderson.
