Gary E. Paquette, age 67, of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at his home.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault, with Fr. Henry Doyle, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday for one hour prior to the services. The Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles will conduct a service on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
Gary Emerett was born on July 15, 1949, in Faribault to Harold and Marcella (Kading) Paquette. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1968. Gary worked his entire career as a commercial painter for the union, with most of his work in the Minneapolis area. He also completed coursework for HVAC at Red Wing Technical College. He was a member of the Faribault Eagles, Sons of American Legion, Minnesota Street Rod Association, and Painters Union. Gary enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, restoring classic cars, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog.
He is survived by his son, Adam (Preethi) Paquette of Portland, OR, and their son, Wilder; daughter, Lyndie Paquette of Madison, WI; his mother, Marcella Paquette of Faribault; brothers, his twin Larry Paquette, and Greg (Lois) Paquette, both of Faribault; sisters-in-law, Irene Paquette and Julie Paquette, both of Faribault; special friend, Jane DeGroot of Faribault; many nieces, nephews, his dog, Cami, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; and brothers, Thomas Paquette and Charles Paquette.
